Lise Watier HydraForce

Is your skin well hydrated? Cold weather got your skin dry and making your face feel tight? Read more about Lise Watier Hydraforce app and moisturizer below!

Lise Watier Hydraforce review

I received a Lise Watier Hydraforce kit from Glam Sense couple weeks a go, and while I expected to receive the moisturizer, I did not expect the Hydraforce hydration test device! This device is sooo adorable, and it’s a neat little thing. So what you get is this round thing that has 2 sensor pads to detect the level of moisture in your skin. You connect it to your phone audio jack, and when you open the Lise Watier HydraForce app (assuming you’ve downloaded the app prior), the HydraForce app will be able to tell you whether your skin is dry or well hydrated (in percentage).

I tried to take the Hydration test (hand, T-zone, and cheeks) before and after the HydraForce moisturizer application, however in both cases I get a 90% result. Just FYI, it could be that the app is a bit wonky, or my skin is very well hydrated. I do take pride in having a good skincare routine (I’ve pretty much used the same products since I was 19-year old). So, even though it is a cool app, I did not get a difference in results, thus I’m calling my data inconclusive.

Anyways, moving on to the moisturizer itself. What is Lise Watier HydraForce Creme?

The formula’s effectiveness lies on the remarkable power of Gaspé Algae Extract. A survivor of harsh environments, the Gaspé algae has developed a highly efficient resistance system, enabling it to thrive in severe conditions. Its extract guarantees the skin’s global hydration, transforming it into a veritable defensive shield.

This moisturizer is created to protect your skin against the harsh Canadian weather. I was sent the Protective Comforting Creme, which is more suited for Dry-Normal skin type. Since my skin is combination type, I think the Protective Creme-Gel would suit my skin more.

Nevertheless, I just want to say that even though the Comforting creme is more for dry-normal skin type, this product feels very lightweight and very hydrating. It’s unlike other creams that I’ve used for dry-normal skin type before. While other products might feel heavy and thick on the skin, this Comforting Creme is light and moisturizing. It feels very watery and cooling to the skin.

To be honest, prior to this review my skin was acting up – dry patches everywhere, and redness and some irritation. You can even see it below on my before-after picture, my skin looks better after I applied the Comforting Creme – less redness & look more hydrated. I find that the Comforting Creme soothes the irritation and cools my skin down. In all honesty, I think if I received the Protective Creme-Gel, I’d love it more and would probably keep using it. However, since this Comforting Creme is for dry-normal skin, I’ll probably keep it on my kit for my clients who have dry-normal skin, instead
