I’ve been wanting to write this ChopSaver Review for a while, but since I wanted to push my youtube tutorials first, I decided to postpone this post until today. Anyways, just a quick background story, I received a sample of the Chopsaver a few days after New Year, and since the weather has been getting colder, my lips have been pretty dry and chappy lately. I’m quite picky with lip products since I have quite sensitive lips. I’ve tried several lip balms but I just didn’t like how some of them feel too goey/sticky on my lips, while some are just simply not moisturizing enough.
I was very excited when I received the ChopSaver, and I have high hopes for it. I’ve been using this for a week now, and I do like it a lot! It’s quite waxy, but not too sticky. If you leave it on the lips for a couple of minutes, it becomes less sticky and you don’t feel like you have anything on your lips.
The ChopSaver contains Arnica, which is a natural healing agent derived from sunflower. It also contains other healing and moisturizing ingredients like aloe, shea butter, mango butter etc. I love how soft my lips feel after using the ChopSaver! You can feel the difference within couple days. I like using this before I go to bed, so that when I wake up my lips are soft and moisturized. I also have been using this to prime my lips before I do my makeup tutorials.
I love the smell of this ChopSaver, it has this citrusty scent but it’s not too strong. As you can see on my before & after picture below, you can see that my lips look more moist instantly. Love that it comes in a tube and you just roll it up to get the product out. It’s also small enough to be put in your pocket or purse. If you are looking for a lip balm that contains SPF, the ChopSaver also comes in SPF 15!
Special note for the MEN: If you are looking for a lip balm that’s not sticky, and one you can get online instead of Sephora/other beauty stores, try the ChopSaver!
